The details
Because it is cut stone, the veining runs differently through every coaster in the set and none of them can be matched to another — that is the difference between marble and a marble print, and it is visible from across a table. Marble is also cold and heavy, so a glass stays put on one instead of sliding. The brass is inlaid flush, not glued on top.
Styling it
Leave them stacked rather than spread out. Four discs of stone in a short column reads as an object; four scattered across a table reads as clutter.
