The details
Mushroom lamps went everywhere because the shape is genuinely good: a wide cap pushes light down and out instead of into your eyes. Most of them are acrylic. Glass gives the cap a soft internal glow and a weight in the hand that the plastic versions never have.
Styling it
A bedside table, a console, or the corner of a sideboard. Warm bulb only — a cool white one turns the glass grey and loses the whole effect.
