The details
A globe is the most even shade there is, because every point on it sits the same distance from the bulb, so there is no bright side and no dim one. The stem is deliberately thin so the globe looks like it is floating rather than sitting on a column. Touch anywhere on the base to change it; there is no switch to find in the dark.
Styling it
It is small and it is cordless, which means it can move. A dinner table, then a bedside, then a bathroom shelf. In sand white, sand black or gold.
