The details
Borosilicate takes a thermal shock that ordinary glass will not, which is the whole reason it is used for teapots — boiling water into a cold pot is exactly the stress that cracks soda-lime glass. The infuser is tall and narrow rather than a shallow basket, so leaves have room to open, and it lifts out to stop the brew rather than being fixed in.
Styling it
Glass is the only pot that shows the colour of what is in it. Worth having alongside a ceramic one for exactly that reason.
