The details
The amphora shape puts the volume high and the foot small, so it reads much lighter than it is. The glaze is reactive and runs downward in the kiln, which is why the colour is thin and pale at the rim and pools dark near the foot — that gradient is gravity, not painting, and it lands differently on every piece.
Styling it
This is the one to put somewhere it will be seen empty. On a shelf on its own it holds a corner; in a stack it disappears.
