The details
The ripple is thrown into the wall, so the glaze runs thin on the ridges and gathers in the troughs — that banding is the glaze doing what a reactive glaze does, not a printed effect. Every piece breaks differently. The belly curves in toward a narrower foot, which is what makes it sit heavier than it looks.
Styling it
Pale and quiet, so it works as the calm thing on a busy counter. Leave it empty on a shelf and it still reads as an object.
