The details
The tube lifts clear of the ring so the water can be changed without disturbing the roots, which is the part most propagation vases get wrong. The oak is solid, not veneered, and is left with an oiled rather than lacquered finish, so the grain stays open. Wood grain differs piece to piece.
Styling it
A single cutting reads better than a full stem. Put it where you will actually see the roots — the root system below the waterline is the interesting half.
