The details
The proportions are the whole design: tall enough to hold long stems without them dominating, narrow enough that it does not take a full bunch to look filled. A vase you can put four stems in and have it look deliberate rather than sparse, which most vases this height cannot do.
Styling it
Good on a narrow shelf or a windowsill where depth is limited. Three or four stems, cut short. Repeats well — two side by side at different heights looks intentional.
