The details

The blossom is painted rather than transferred, so the branch sits at a different angle on every piece and the brush loading varies along it. The carafe pours from a pinched lip rather than a spout. The tray is a separate solid piece, not a moulded base, so it can be used on its own.

Styling it

It is a set, so it reads best kept together on a shelf rather than broken up. Warm wood under pale ceramic is most of the appeal — do not put it on a wooden surface that competes.
