The details
The peel is modelled as four separate curling sections rather than a simplified shape, which is what stops it reading as a cartoon. Glazed inside so it holds water, though it suits dried stems better — the opening is shallow and wide, which a wet arrangement tends to fall out of.
Styling it
Lie it on a stack of books rather than standing it on a shelf. It was designed to be seen from above, and flat on a surface is where the curl of the peel actually reads.
