The details

Turned rather than pressed, so the grain runs continuously round the rim and the wall thins evenly toward the edge — you can feel the taper if you run a thumb over it. Oil rather than lacquer leaves the surface matte and slightly open, which is why it darkens with use instead of chipping.

Styling it

They are plates, coasters and small trays depending on what you put on them. Two stacked with a cup on top is the whole Japandi idea in one gesture.
